RECUPEL:

Since 2001, Recupel has been responsible for the collection and processing of discarded household electrical and electronic appliances in Belgium. Since 2014, you can also leave your old light bulbs at Recupel collection points.

What happens to your old appliances and light bulbs?
Recupel extracts raw materials from old appliances and light bulbs that can still be used by industry, such as iron, copper, plastic and glass. They also remove toxic substances, such as mercury, which pose a threat to the environment.

How does Recupel help you further as a consumer?

BEBAT:

Since 1995, Bebat has been responsible for collecting, sorting and recycling batteries in our country. You can deposit your used batteries at one of Bebat's 23,514 collection points.

What happens to your used batteries?
The metals and valuable materials are extracted from the batteries. They are then reused as raw materials. All other substances are also processed correctly.
